Processes within every company, business processes are crucial. How do these processes work within the company? Does it result in less or more work? Are all actions that are performed of added value? How high is the so-called "First Time Right"? Is the information transparent for the right stakeholders?

These types of issues are the order of the day for us. We optimize processes based on our Lean Six Sigma background. It is often based on an automation solution. Consider the proliferation of Excel files that are no longer manageable. These files often also contain a wealth of information that cannot be accessed with the push of a button. 

We tailor solutions that we already have on hand. We describe the processes in a functional flow diagram with a brief explanation. In a few pages you will get an analysis of the current situation, the bottlenecks, the possibilities for possible chain integration and recommendations which we can also implement.

We do this with our own development team. This team consists of programmers with the qualities to develop solutions. These solutions are developed in web, Android, IOS and Office applications. Once delivered there is also a possibility to look at expanding the solution.

One of the methods we use is the "Plan-Do-Check-Act". With this, a change can be implemented quickly and easily without losing sight of the important steps or skipping them.

With the establishment of the Central Beverage House, however, the customer can get them on the doorstep in one go. A major step forward in service, but also a challenge to organize behind the scenes, says Ronald Zemering. Reason for the parties involved to engage Bart Kleijheeg (HUB BASE).

“For a long time, customers had to order a" slow mover "as a liquor as a separate order in addition to a fast runner such as cask beer. Heineken and Bacardi decided that this could be done differently. Slow movers can be added to a larger order via the Central Beverage House. That means that there is a lot going on behind the scenes. The suppliers have to charge the extra orders to each other for example. All products and services had to come under one contract. We have involved Ron to oversee this transition. That was certainly necessary. The start-up phase had quite a few feet in the ground. For example, Heineken moved its distribution center from Den Bosch to Waddinxveen. The entire operation obviously had a shared interest, but everyone also has their own interests, so it is good to have someone from outside, who looks at it with a critical eye. That is why Ron was given the position of coordinator for the whole and had a strong advisory role. "

“Setting up the beverage house turned out to be more expensive than planned, so processes had to be improved. Ron has, among other things, examined transport, storage, storage and order picking. In many places there appeared to be room for optimization. Also on the timing of processes. If you deliver too slowly, you will incur additional costs. To be able to deliver efficiently, the different parts of the order must come together at exactly the right time. That match is crucial and you can actually only realize it if you let an experienced specialist look at it. Ron has been in logistics all his life and knows processes through and through. He is also an entrepreneur and knows what is to set up something new. He is very problem-solving. That is a big advantage. We started a process that was difficult to oversee, but we were able to make good agreements throughout the entire process, which Ron always complied with. There is a large basis of trust, so that you work pleasantly and independently with consultation at the right times. You just know where you stand. "

Less manpower needed

“We were looking for the five-legged sheep and found it. Ron can not only improve processes, but also intervenes if extra capacity is needed logistically. That is a pleasant additional service. It ensures that we have been able to deliver from the Central Beverage House in the short term. All in all, the concrete result is that manpower has been reduced. Since there is an open cost calculation in the model, this has brought everyone an immediate financial benefit. ”
